Charles Wysocki¹s "Carnival Capers". Wysocki (1928-2002) started in the Mid-West, but eventually gravitated to the West Coast for art school and a major career in advertising. While enjoying his commercial success, Wysocki yearned for a simpler life where he could concentrate on painting‹painting in a primitive or folk art style.

From the 1960¹s forward, Wysocki saw his version of Americana come to life on canvas, on calendars and note cards and a myriad of other products.

Wysocki captured the spirit and old time feeling of New England from the Cape to the tip of Maine. His view of building a Winter Carnival Center-of-Campus statue in the depth of a Hanover winter makes an interesting subject for a Stave Puzzle that will take some skill and determination to complete.
